Short Back & Sidewalks is run entirely by volunteers. We believe that everyone has something to contribute, and that you get back as much as you put in — and more — when you volunteer with us.

We're always on the look out for community-minded hairdressers and barbers. We ask our volunteers to make a commitment to regular shifts on a fortnightly or monthly basis.

Not a hairdresser or barber but you’d like to volunteer with us anyway? We have plenty of volunteer roles that don’t involve cutting hair, such as event coordination, volunteer rostering, fundraising, etc. Contact us here to learn more — we’d love to hear from you!
