Global infrastructure consultancy supports Short Back & Sidewalks’ regular service in the City of Perth

Short Back & Sidewalks (SBSW) has been supported by AECOM to continue delivering a regular service at Tranby Engagement Hub for 12 months.

This weekly service will have a positive impact on the lives of over 600 Australians in need.

“Each weekly service will deliver positive connections free of charge and free of judgment, serving those in need on their path home,” said SBSW General Manager Lindsey Hershman.

Tranby is an engagement and referral service for people who are experiencing homelessness in and around the City of Perth. The introduction of a regular event will provide their clients with a service they can rely on and look forward to.

AECOM is proud to support SBSW in creating positive connections at Tranby.

“Our purpose at AECOM is to deliver a better world, and it’s our people who make it happen,” said Regional Managing Director Shayne Hanran.

“Craig Hollywood, Founder of Short Back & Sidewalks, is a valued member of our Perth team, and I am proud that AECOM can support his commitment to creating positive connections with vulnerable and marginalised community members through free haircuts.”

This support will have an immediate frontline impact on members of the community experiencing homelessness as SBSW moves towards achieving its goal of 30 services and 15,000 free haircuts a year by 2025.

“Supporting the Tranby Engagement Hub means we are contributing to a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for people in need,” said Shayne.

SBSW thanks AECOM for their generous support and helping us break the stigma attached to members of the community in need.
